An original painting sized 5x7 inches titled 'When Two Broken Hearts Become One'.
This painting is dedicated to my sweet husband, who has helped me to pick up the pieces of my broken heart and put them back together, over and over again. As we are going on seven years of marriage, I have been reflecting on the different broken pieces we each brought into our marriage. I am so grateful to have a partner that did not judge or get scared of any of my broken pieces. Instead, he also showed me his broken heart and together we fit those pieces together. What resulted was something more beautiful than either of us were on our own.
Kintsugi has become a very important symbol in my life. Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery") is a Japanese pottery technique where broken pottery is put back together with a gold lacquer. The golden cracks in the repaired pot are considered a beautiful part of the pottery’s history - something that has made the pot even more beautiful and valuable than it was before. This pottery technique has helped me to reframe any hard, sad, or difficult thing that happens in my life. It reminds me that pain, heartache, and breakage are inevitable, but our hearts and our lives can be even more beautiful and precious in the aftermath. The brokenness is not something to be hidden or embarrassed of - it is a beautiful history that shows the character and strength of the pot.
As Valentine’s Day approaches, I have been thinking so much of my husband and how grateful I am for the history we have made together. I am really proud of us for continually picking up broken pieces of our hearts and putting them back together. There are many things that inspire my artwork, and my husband’s steadfast love is one of those things. He has taught me of the beauty, joy, peace, and love that can be felt when two broken hearts become one.
This painting is painted on professional watercolor paper, and is painted with a mixture of watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint.
Upon purchase, original paintings are securely packaged before shipment.

Print Details
4x6”, 5x7”, 8x10” and 11x14” are printed on a beautiful matte 80# paper. These sizes are placed in cellophane sleeves and shipped in a protective stay-flat envelope.
16x20” and 18x24" are printed on archival fine art paper. These sizes are rolled and shipped in a heavy duty mailing tube.
*PLEASE NOTE - all original paintings are painted on 5x7" paper. Because of this, ALL other print sizes except 5x7"prints will be cropped to fit dimensions *
I provide bulk pricing for my 4x6" prints. If you need to purchase more than 100 prints, please email me! If you purchase 100+ prints, the price per print is $0.95.
Canvas Details
Canvas prints are made lovingly by hand in the United States, and are shipped directly from my supplier to you. Reflective gold is NOT able to be added to the canvases due to the way they are made and the protective coating used on them. The gold colors in canvases will be a flat gold color as shown in the listing images.
Unframed Canvases have a wrapped image and a 1.5" edge. They have a sawtooth hanger in the back for easy installation.
Framed canvas prints come in either a white, black, or gold floater frame. Floater frames create the illusion that the artwork is floating inside of it. They elevate the artwork and the perfect finishing touch. Framed canvases have a 1.5" edge and come with a hanging wire in the back for easy installation.
Canvases are printed on thick archival grade, poly-cotton canvas. The canvas is pH neutral, acid-free, and will not yellow over time.

Ornament Details
Ornaments are made of porcelain. They are sturdy and should not break unless dropped from a tall heigh onto very hard floor. Ornaments are oval, approximately 2x3 inches, and come with a classic white ribbon attached.
