Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about mental health. Why it is such a daunting thing for us as humans to tackle, why it’s so hard to get help, and why it’s so hard to describe. I feel more strongly than ever that there needs to be more artwork in the world that captures what it is like to not only struggle with mental health, but captures what the process of healing looks like. There needs to be artwork that gives people hope, inspires them, and lifts them up out of the darkness that can be mental illness. When you see an image that gives life to what you are feeling, it is so so so powerful. Artwork speaks the language of our hearts and souls.
I have been in and out of therapy since I was six years old. I suffered sexual abuse as a young girl and developed anxiety, depression, and OCD as a result. I experienced how trauma, pain, and fear were tangling my mind. Everything got tangled, mixed up, and wrong. I am so grateful that I had parents and therapists who stepped in and helped me learn to untangle my mind. They helped me identify each thread, detangle trauma from worth, and understand the beauty of the threads that had been woven together.
To this day, I am still working on untangling my mind. Constant self care, self love, and help is needed to keep my brain untangled. For me that help has been therapy, medicine, deep and lasting relationships, routines, and my faith in the Savior. This painting is a depiction of self love and self care. The greatest thing I have ever done for myself is ask for help.
I hope this painting can be a reminder to you than no brain is ever too tangled, and no one is ever past help. Have compassion for yourself. Have compassion for the little child inside of you who tried so hard to keep that brain untangled all on their own. There are so many burdens you have been carrying all alone for so long. You don’t have to. There is beauty in understanding and accepting all the different threads of your story. They make up something so beautiful, YOU.

Print Details
4x6”, 5x7”, 8x10” and 11x14” are printed on a beautiful matte 80# paper. These sizes are placed in cellophane sleeves and shipped in a protective stay-flat envelope.
16x20” and 18x24" are printed on archival fine art paper. These sizes are rolled and shipped in a heavy duty mailing tube.
*PLEASE NOTE - all original paintings are painted on 5x7" paper. Because of this, ALL other print sizes except 5x7"prints will be cropped to fit dimensions *
I provide bulk pricing for my 4x6" prints. If you need to purchase more than 100 prints, please email me! If you purchase 100+ prints, the price per print is $0.95.
Canvas Details
Canvas prints are made lovingly by hand in the United States, and are shipped directly from my supplier to you. Reflective gold is NOT able to be added to the canvases due to the way they are made and the protective coating used on them. The gold colors in canvases will be a flat gold color as shown in the listing images.
Unframed Canvases have a wrapped image and a 1.5" edge. They have a sawtooth hanger in the back for easy installation.
Framed canvas prints come in either a white, black, or gold floater frame. Floater frames create the illusion that the artwork is floating inside of it. They elevate the artwork and the perfect finishing touch. Framed canvases have a 1.5" edge and come with a hanging wire in the back for easy installation.
Canvases are printed on thick archival grade, poly-cotton canvas. The canvas is pH neutral, acid-free, and will not yellow over time.

Ornament Details
Ornaments are made of porcelain. They are sturdy and should not break unless dropped from a tall heigh onto very hard floor. Ornaments are oval, approximately 2x3 inches, and come with a classic white ribbon attached.

Production time for prints is typically 7-10 business days. Shipping times vary from 1-5 business days (after production time) depending on which shipping option you select. During the holidays, shipping times may be longer.
