'It Is Well With My Soul' Print

This is a detailed print of my original painting 'It Is Well With My Soul'. 

Autumn holds such a range of emotions for me. I love the beauty, the weather, the crisp air and the fall traditions, but it’s also when I start to deal with seasonal depression and work-related stress. One big thing I’m doing this October is filming for a TV show called Artful. I am so beyond excited to do this, but also scared out of my mind. I’ve been feeling so much anxiety and imposter syndrome when I think about filming.

This weekend I have been feeling especially overwhelmed about filming in a few weeks. When I went to church today, we sang the hymn ‘It Is Well With My Soul’ - one of my favorite hymns ever. It didn’t feel like a coincidence to me. I know the Savior wanted me to know that He is with me and that if I trust in Him, whatever situation I am in can be ‘well with my soul’. I know I can find peace in my soul during any difficult task or heartbreaking trial.

Over the years I have learned how crucial it is for me to picture Christ with me in every season of my life. It’s really important for me to remember, right now, that He will be with me in this season that is feeling very intimidating and overwhelming. 

I know He is with you in every single season of your life as well. Whatever you are facing, whatever is weighing heavy on your heart, whatever is causing you to weep silent tears, whatever keeps you awake at night and makes you feel overwhelming anxiety, I know that the Savior is the one who can help it to be ‘well with your soul’. 

He knows you perfectly and offers peace that I have found no where else. May you feel Him by your side this autumn.
