'He Remembers All The Mothers' Print
'He Remembers All The Mothers' Print
A detailed print of my original painting titled ‘He Remembers All The Mothers’.
A special painting for Mother’s Day. I know that Christ remembers ALL the mothers. The expecting mothers, the grieving mothers, the hopeful mothers, the mothers in the thick of parenting, the grandmothers, the adoptive mothers, the birth mothers, the single mothers, the mothers in heaven, the step mothers, the stand-in mothers, the waiting mothers, the foster mothers, the biological mothers.
In this painting, Christ stands with and comforts many different types of mothers. If you swipe through the slides, you will get a peek into their individual stories. The women and Christ are all connected by Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"). This is a Japanese pottery technique where broken pottery is put back together with a gold lacquer. This technique has become a huge part of my life and my work, and I felt like it needed to be incorporated into this painting. To me Kintsugi is a reminder that Christ is able to heal and make something incredibly beautiful out of what I think is shattered. I know that Christ perfectly knows and understands the different trials and heartbreak you have endured in your journeys as mothers. Today is a day to celebrate all kinds of mothers and recognize that every mother’s journey looks different. Every mother has different trials, obstacles, pains, and heartaches. The Kintsugi in this piece symbolizes that Christ can take that heartache and make something beautiful.
This piece is also a reminder that our brokenness connects us. What we have been through and experienced allows us to connect and love others. If you feel lonely today, I hope this helps you remember that you belong. There are so many mothers who know what you are experiencing and love you. And there is the Savior, who I know with all my heart remembers ALL the mothers. Each print comes with a print out of this description (see last slide).
I use a beautiful, heavy-weight, acid-free paper for my prints. Prints come unframed and signed by the artist. All of my prints are border-less.
Each print is placed in a clear plastic sleeve to protect from moisture while traveling to you, and mailed in a rigid envelope. See product information below for more details.
Colors may vary due to monitor settings. All sales are final.
4x6”, 5x7”, 8x10” and 11x14” are printed on a beautiful matte 80# paper. These sizes are placed in cellophane sleeves and shipped in a protective stay-flat envelope.
16x20” and 18x24" are printed on archival fine art paper. These sizes are rolled and shipped in a heavy duty mailing tube.
I provide bulk pricing for my 4x6" prints. If you need to purchase more than 100 prints, please email me! If you purchase 100+ prints, the price per print is $0.95.
Canvas prints are made lovingly by hand in the United States, and are shipped directly from my supplier to you. Reflective gold is NOT able to be added to the canvases due to the way they are made and the protective coating used on them. The gold colors in canvases will be a flat gold color as shown in the listing images.
Unframed Canvases have a wrapped image and a 1.5" edge. They have a sawtooth hanger in the back for easy installation.
Framed canvas prints come in either a white, black, or gold floater frame. Floater frames create the illusion that the artwork is floating inside of it. They elevate the artwork and the perfect finishing touch. Framed canvases have a 1.5" edge and come with a hanging wire in the back for easy installation.
Canvases are printed on thick archival grade, poly-cotton canvas. The canvas is pH neutral, acid-free, and will not yellow over time.
Canvases are perfect for gifting!
