'An Abundant Life' Print

This is a detailed print of my original painting titled 'An Abundant Life'.

The fourth word of the year painting, inspired by the word ‘abundance’. I love this word so much and have been so excited to paint it. Abundant is defined as plentiful, or having plenty of.

For my whole life, I have struggled with a scarcity mindset. When I was putting my husband through dental school, I was crippled by this scarcity mindset. Feeling like I could never do enough, I couldn’t make it as an artist, and that I might not be able to provide financially for us put me into an extremely fragile emotional state. I would cry over anything, anytime. When I was going through that, I started to do a deep dive on a scarcity mindset vs. an abundance mindset. With my therapist, I worked consistently to try to look at my life through a lens of abundance as opposed to scarcity.

The lessons I learned from this mindset shift have been so beautiful and are still changing my life to this day. I cannot put into words how much more beautiful life became when I started to see what I had been blessed with was ‘enough’. I had plentiful amounts of love, support, and opportunities. I even had enough to support us financially. When I stopped looking outward and comparing what I had to everyone else, I saw that my life was abundantly beautiful.

If ‘abundance’ is your word of the year, I hope this painting can remind you of the beauty you are surrounded by. I hope it can remind you that who you are is enough. Maybe your bouquet isn’t as ‘big’ as someone else’s. Maybe the blossoms are a different color or variety than someone else’s. Maybe the vase you are holding isn’t as shiny and new as someone else’s. That doesn’t make any of it any less beautiful or valuable. It is plentiful, it is magical, it is enough for an abundant life.

I use a beautiful, heavy-weight, acid-free paper for my prints. Prints come unframed and signed by the artist. All of my prints are border-less.
