This painting depicts Mary after she looks up and sees the resurrected Savior. She is running to tell the apostles that she has seen the Lord. That He is risen, just as He said. A tear of joy trickles down her cheek as she runs. I am inspired by her urgency to tell the disciples about Christ. She was not ashamed of her testimony, she wanted to declare it.
