'Deliverer' 5x7 original painting

An original painting sized 5x7 inches titled 'Deliverer'. 

I chose this title for this piece because it points to both Mary and Jesus. Mary, who delivered Christ, and Christ who would deliver all of us. I picture this moment right after Christ's birth - an exhausted and relieved Mary, a joyful Joseph, and a sweet baby Jesus still covered in vernix. Raw and real. It really happened. Imagining moments like these has made the Nativity story so much more real and sacred to me. 

This painting reminds me of a scripture I love in Psalms 18:2 'The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.'

When I see this piece I am full of gratitude for my Savior, my Deliverer. I am also full of gratitude for Joseph's steadfastness, and Mary's faith. I am grateful that she too was the deliverer of our dear Savior.
